The Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) announced on Tuesday evening the cancellation of the two friendly matches of its women’s team against the Grenadières which should take place in Quito on May 31 and June 4, 2024.
Hard blow for the Haitian women who will ultimately not be able to go to Quito for the double confrontation against the local selection due to a visa problem for certain members of the Haitian delegation.
The meetings “will not take place, due to a problem that the Haitian delegation had with the processing of their visas, a document necessary to enter Ecuador,” informed the Ecuadorian federation on its X account (formerly Twitter) .

Sad news for the Grenadières deprived of matches and competitions since their elimination in the play-offs of the first edition of the Gold Cup (February 17, 2024).
The Haitian Football Federation (FHF), for its part, has not yet ruled on the cancellation of Grenadières’ matches against the Ecuador women’s team.
Remember that Haitian coach Frédéric Gonçalvez had summoned 25 players, including the best young player in the Champions League (2023-2024), Melchie Dumornay, for this double confrontation.
