Will these new faces of Haitian diplomacy, the Jovenel Moïse-Claude Joseph version, be able to restore the image of a regime tarnished by incompetence, corruption, repression, spectacular assassinations, state crimes, obstruction of justice and collusion with criminal gangs better armed than the police forces?

Monday, November 16, 2020 ((rezonodwes.com)) – A dozen personalities have been freshly appointed to Haitian diplomacy less than 90 days before the end of the constitutional mandate of President Jovenel Moïse.

These diplomats, who will not be able to benefit from ratification by the Senate, made dysfunctional since January by a tweet from the Head of State, will be stationed in various countries in Europe and America, at the Vatican and with certain international institutions such as UNESCO and the United Nations.

Vilbert Bélizaire is appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Argentina, Rachel Coupaud to Brazil, former chancellor Bocchit Edmond to the United States, Monesty Junior Fanfil to Chile, Momplaisir Féquière to Mexico, Jean-Marie François Jr. Guillaume to Qatar , Jesse Jean in Belgium, the former minister Régine Lamur in Cuba, Jean Jude Piquant in the Vatican, the former Radio Caraibes journalist Euvrard Saint Armand in the United Kingdom.

Dominique DUPUY, for his part, was appointed Permanent Delegate Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the former Consul of Montreal, Justin Viard, was appointed Permanent Representative of the Republic of Haiti to the United Nations in Geneva.

Will these new faces of Haitian diplomacy, the Jovenel Moïse-Claude Joseph version, be able to restore the image of a regime tarnished by incompetence, corruption, repression, spectacular assassinations and collusion with criminal gangs?

Will they be able to allow Jovenel Moïse to consolidate the circle of his supporters and obtain new support in the international community in order to throw the 1987 constitution in the trash and extend his mandate?
