The Haitian Football Federation announces Sébastien Migné as the new coach of the senior men’s national team.

In a press release published on Friday March 8 on its Facebook page, the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) announces the appointment of Sébastien Migné as head of the senior men’s national team which is preparing to compete in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

For the FHF, the new coach of the Haitian team has a rich and varied experience in the world of football. He has previously led Kenya, the Republic of Congo and Equatorial Guinea.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Sébastien Migné as the new coach of the senior men’s national team of the Haitian Football Federation”wrote the Haitian Football Federation.

Sébastien Migné is a Frenchman. He comes from the French commune of La Roche-sur-Yon. The Haitian Football Federation praised the experience of the new national team coach. “Sébastien Migné brings with him a rich and varied experience in the world of football. After a playing career in France and England, he embarked on a coaching career which led him to prestigious positions in different national teams.”

Furthermore, as an assistant, he acquired some experience alongside Claude Le Roy and Jean-Pierre Papin. “His hard work and commitment has been rewarded with significant successes, including winning the Persian Gulf Cup with the Oman team”underlined the FHF in this press release.

Sébastien Migné will not be at his first try, with the Kenyan national team he reached historic heights, qualifying for CAN 2019 after a 15-year wait, and was nominated for the CAF Awards as best men’s team of the year. Mr. Migné was also head coach of the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea and more recently assistant coach of Cameroon.

The main mission of the new coach is to qualify the Haitian team for the next World Cup which will take place in 2026 in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
