A working session took place between Prime Minister Garry Conille and members of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) at the Villa d’Accueil this Tuesday, June 4. The objective of this meeting was to reach an agreement on the formation of the new ministerial cabinet, in accordance with the agreement of April 3, 2024.
Less than 24 hours after taking office, Prime Minister Garry Conille met with the CPT to discuss the composition of the new government. This meeting is part of a process aimed at establishing a consensus government as quickly as possible, thus meeting the expectations of the Haitian population.
“In accordance with the expectations of the population, the CPT and the new Prime Minister are committed to doing everything possible to provide the country with a new Government as quickly as possible,” specified the CPT in a communication on their social networks.
It should be noted that the majority of sectors represented within the Presidential Transitional Council are demanding transparency and speed in the establishment of this new government.
