PM Garry Conille on an official visit to Washington to better calibrate the context of international aid and the priority of Haiti.

He discussed the situation of internally displaced persons, the reconstruction of hospitals, schools, and prisons destroyed by armed gangs in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince. On the second day of work, the Haitian delegation will meet with Assistant Secretaries of State Brian Nichols, Todd Robinson, USAID Deputy Administrator, OAS Secretary General Luis Almagro, IMF Managing Director Cristalina Georgieva, U.S. Congressmen and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Jon Blinken.
Over the past weekend, the head of the transitional government has already met several representatives of the Haitian Diaspora in the State of Florida and MP Frederica Wilson with whom he discussed the issue of TPS, the organization of elections and the restoration of security in Haiti.
