In reaction to the day of February 7, 2024 when several agents of the Protected Air Security Brigade (BSAP) were assassinated by law enforcement agents, the former rebel leader of 2023, Guy Philippe calls for toughening of the anti-government movement across the country. Thus, he recommends to the population and to the agents of the BSAP to neutralize all of Ariel Henry’s agents in any way.
The anti-government mobilization will probably take on another dimension this February 8, 2024. If we rely on the declarations of the former senator of Grand’Anse, Guy Philippe, there is reason to fear the worst. Indeed, following the assassination of several BSAP agents, on February 7, 2024 at Laboule 10, the leader of this uprising calls on his troops for a muscular response, specifying that all those who oppose them are criminals.
Guy Philippe didn’t put water in his mouth. He orders those who are with him (BSAP and the Population) to occupy more territories. In his message, he invites them not to leave the conquered spaces. “Meten prè poun avanse sou yo. Netralize yo. Everything is criminal,” he declared, emphasizing that Ariel Henry’s agents must be neutralized by any means.
The politician also attacked the international community which supports Ariel Henry in all his excesses. With this unconditional support, declares Guy Philippe, foreigners will be held responsible for everything that happens in Haiti. The man who has just served his 6-year prison sentence in the United States accuses the police of having targeted him personally in the attack causing the death of several BSAP agents. He says he got out of the ambush with a lot of strategies and promises to increase his tactics to finally get rid of Ariel Henry who does not appear worried by the situation.
Jeantel Joseph wants BSAP agents to take justice into their own hands
The former Director of ANAP and president of the Consortium party, Jeantel Joseph agrees, encouraging BSAP agents to defend themselves from police officers who show them no compassion. According to him, there is no turning back. “The blood of the massacred agents must serve as fertilizer for the revolution,” he declared.
