A muscular raid by the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC) took place at the headquarters of the National Education Fund (FNE) this Tuesday, June 4, 2024. According to reliable sources, ULCC agents seized documents telephones and archives as part of an investigation into allegations of corruption involving the director general of the FNE, Jean Ronald Joseph. Employees were kept inside during the operation.

ULCC agents adopted strict measures by confiscating the phones of employees present and preventing them from leaving the premises during the investigation. The objective was to collect evidence regarding accusations of corruption against the institution, focusing in particular on the archives of the general directorate, the administration and the procurement unit.

The general director of the FNE, Jean Ronald Joseph, was curiously absent during the raid, occurring in an already tense context following accusations of corruption raised by lawyer Caleb Jean Baptiste. He denounces embezzlement and irregular contract awards favoring those close to the general director and his friends, thus shaking the reputation of the organization responsible for financing education in Haiti.
