P-to-P, February 11, 2024 [AlterPresse] — The Société du Rhum Barbancourt SA declares that it is forced to suspend its public activities, after the fire of several cane fields totaling 8 hectares, during armed clashes which broke out for several days between rival gangs, in the plain of Cul-de-Sac, in the areas of Terre noire and Blanchard, in the commune of Cité Soleil (north of the capital, Port-au-Prince), in a note dated Sunday February 11, 2024, of which the online agency AlterPresse.

These armed conflicts continued on Saturday February 10, 2024 in part of the Plaine du Cul-de-sac and in the commune of Cité Soleil, in the areas of Terre Noire and Blanchard around the enclosure of the Barbancourt distillery.
