According to information revealed by the daily newspaper “Le Nouvelliste”, the head of government had not planned his official trip to the United States with the members of the CPT, in particular on the language elements. He would have informed the Council of his departure by a simple message on “Whatsapp” a few hours before his flight, according to the newspaper, citing sources within the presidential structure.

A member of the Transitional Presidential Council who spoke to the daily newspaper “Le Nouvelliste” expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that the Prime Minister did not plan his speech effects with the presidential structure to better prepare and organize his speech during his exchanges with international actors.
“When a Prime Minister goes on a mission abroad for official trips, it is the Presidency that must give him the talking points. This is also valid for the Minister of Foreign Affairs…”, the source within the Presidential Transition Council told Le Nouvelliste.
According to the newspaper, the head of government had not even informed the Transitional Presidential Council of his trip in time. He would have done so via a message on “Whatsapp” a few hours before his flight.
« I received the WhatsApp message at 3:24 am (when the Prime Minister was due to travel that day) to inform the Presidential Advisors that he was leaving the country for meetings in the United States,” a member of the Council reported to Le Nouvelliste.
Furthermore, the newspaper, which claims to have contacted the Prime Minister, reports that the latter suggested that he had discussed his trip with members of the presidential structure.
