THE HAITI FACTOR, November 15, 2024._Armed bandits are disturbing the sleep of members of the Haitian population living in various neighborhoods in the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince.
For hours, panic has reigned in several areas located on the outskirts of the Capital.
This is the case in Nazon and Christ-Roi where detonations are heard. They are followed by fires in houses and commercial businesses, several people told the agency.
The latter flee their homes in the middle of the night under the bullets of armed bandits.
The shots echoed as far as Lalue, Ravine Pintade and Turgeau, according to residents contacted by telephone by the newspaper.
A similar situation developed around 10:10 a.m. at Avenue Christophe, in downtown Port-au-Prince, causing fear among residents of the area.
