Two people in a relationship were murdered by unidentified armed individuals on the night of Thursday, November 21, 2024, in “Boujoly”, Les Cayes, in the Southern Department of Haiti. The victims are identified under the names of Jean Michel Éliscat and Médjie as well known.
THE HAITI FACTOR, November 22, 2024._The city of Les Cayes, capital of the South Department, has been facing an upsurge in acts of banditry for several months.
Indeed, unidentified armed bandits operating there murdered on Thursday evening, two (2) people identified under the names of Jean Michel Eliscat and Médjie, thus known as his concubine.
The murders were recorded in the locality called “Boujoly”, on Route Nationale #7 (RN7), according to available information. The crimes are believed to be the work of armed individuals on motorcycles.
Their bullet-ridden bodies were discovered around 10 a.m. inside a car, a gray 4 Runner.
Despite the installation of Me Pierre Paul Elliot as Government Commissioner at the Court of First Instance of Les Cayes, aided by the presence of Jean Ernest Muscadin in the 3rd city of the country, armed bandits continue to commit their abuses within the southern population.
