The tensions that have been raging in Port-au-Prince for three days have killed urologist Déborah Pierre. Shot by bullets in front of her private clinic located on rue Cameau, she succumbed to her injuries in a hospital center in the country where the professional health was rushed.
THE HAITI FACTOR, November 13, 2024._Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, has been since Monday, November 11, 2024, the scene of strong tensions established in the metropolitan region by armed bandits of the “Viv ansanm” coalition.
The latter, during their irruption in certain areas, notably in Delmas 9 and 11 and in Vivy Mitchell, set fire to several residents’ houses.
Aside from the material damage caused, they injured and killed by bullets, whether intentionally or accidentally, simple and peaceful citizens. Several cases were recorded at the Carrefour de l’Aéroport and in downtown Port-au-Prince.
Urologist Déborah Pierre was among those killed. The Dr, one of the few specialists in urology in Haiti, was shot in front of her private clinic located on rue Cameau.
In the process, the victim was rushed to a hospital in the country to receive the treatment necessary for gunshot wounds. She, unfortunately, did not survive, according to several doctors affected by this tragic loss.
