Divisional Commissioner Michel Ange Louis Jeune is the new spokesperson for the Haitian National Police (PNH), this Friday, July 5, 2024, according to a communication from the police institution dated this Friday. He replaces Police Commissioner Garry Desrosiers in this position.
The installation ceremony of the new spokesperson of the police institution, Divisional Commissioner Michel Ange Louis Jeune, was led by Inspector General Péyo Smith, chief of staff of the acting DG of the PNH, Rameau Normil, on the latter’s instructions.
As for Police Commissioner Garry Desrosiers, he was transferred to the strategic planning and development department of the Haitian National Police, according to the PNH press release, noting that this change falls within the chain of command of the new acting DG of the PNH, Rameau Normil.
It should be noted that Michel Ange Louis Jeune has already held this position within the National Police before. In fact, in November 2018, he replaced Divisional Commissioner Frantz Leurbours in this position.
