Engaged in intense fighting against armed bandits in Solino, a district located on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince, police officer Petit-Dieu Jeff, an agent of the “Swat Team”, from the 31st promotion, was hit by projectiles midday on Wednesday November 13, 2024. Rushed to hospital, he died a few hours after his admission from injuries.
THE HAITI FACTOR, November 13, 2024_Blood was shed on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in Solino, as part of the clashes between the armed bandits of “viv ansanm” who court the National Police of Haiti.
And it was a police officer who paid the price. His name is Petit-Dieu Jeff, according to the agency’s confirmations with several of his brothers in arms.
Coming from the 31st promotion of the police institution and assigned to the specialized “Swat Team” unit, he was shot in different parts of his body in exchanges of fire with armed bandits.
The police officer, who was in a critical situation, was rushed to hospital by some of his colleagues and relatives for treatment.
A few moments after his admission to the hospital, Petit-Dieu Jeff, who was fighting to prevent gangs from settling in Solino, gave up the ghost.
Besides Jeff, many other people have been killed or injured by gunfire from bandits who are campaigning to control this neighborhood.
