The State University of Haiti Announces the Electoral Calendar for the Renewal of the Executive Council
Port-au-Prince, June 24, 2024 – The Council of the State University of Haiti (UEH) approved, by vote, the electoral calendar published on June 5, 2024. It was recommended to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) to organize the election for the renewal of the Executive Council no later than August 13, 2024.
Accordingly, the CEC informs the university community and the general public of the following decisions:
Constitution of the New Central Electoral Commission
Following the election of a new representative of the Deans within the CEC on July 4, 2024, the Commission is now composed of:
Mr. Arnoux LEFRANCRepresentative of the Professors of the Faculty of Dentistry, President; Mr. Bernard PIERREDean of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vice-President; Monsieur Wilson DORLUSSecretary General of the UEH, Secretary; Mrs. Norah JEAN-FRANCOISRepresentative of the Professors of the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences, Advisor; Mr. Melchior BELOVEDRepresentative of the Students of the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine, Advisor. The CEC is committed to ensuring a transparent and inclusive electoral process, allowing all stakeholders to actively participate. Compliance with the electoral calendar is essential to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of governance within the UEH.
