Prime Minister Garry Conille inaugurated this Friday, July 12, 2024, a consultation workshop on the mid-term report on the implementation of the recommendations of the 3rd cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR). Organized by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, this event is part of Haiti’s collaboration with its international partners to strengthen human rights.
In his speech, the Head of Government reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting and protecting fundamental rights in Haiti. Dr. Garry Conille highlighted the importance of the rights to education, health and food, while promising increased efforts to create a more equitable and secure society. He stressed the need to respect the rights of every citizen, restore peace, reduce violence and ensure access to education and health care.
