Haiti: what to do?

During his exile in Germany, Vladimir Illich Ulyanov, Lenin, responds to 1902 in his book ” What to do ” that we must distrust worker spontaneity and create an organization of professional revolutionaries. The Book constituted the essential Weapon to beat and combat revisionism which denied the scientific character of Marxist Analysis. He also emphasized that the Working Class will not spontaneously become revolutionary through economic struggles for increasing wages or for reducing working hours at the time.

Today, more than ever, Hayti is experiencing a political, economic, social, cultural, security and humanitarian crisis, and true progressives are wondering today what to do in the face of the political betrayal of the mass struggle by opportunists and lackeys. Imperialism united under the supervision of CARICOM in a so-called Presidential Council (new alliance PHTK-Montana and PHTK-Fanmi Lavalas)

We do not have the pretension nor do we proclaim ourselves revolutionary in this context as was the case for Lenin, but we believe that it is our duty to help revive the anti-imperialist struggle of the popular masses in Haiti. .

Too often, the political silence of progressives is by default complicit in bad governance in Hayti, and politicians representing the interests of the bourgeois class and big landowners co-opt the spontaneous struggles of the proletarian layers and reinforce imperialist domination over Hayti to continue. the non-colonial plunder of the country’s resources through never-ending exploration contracts with foreign companies and the waste of the State’s meager financial resources, as evidenced by the squandering of funds for the reconstruction of Hayti through the CIRH and the squandering of funds from the Petro-Caribe program by the PHTK regime.

So our duty as progressives in this context is to:

1. Constantly denounce the stateless people and lackeys of imperialism to reduce their influence on the anti-imperialist struggle of the popular masses for sovereignty and national independence, for an integrated sustainable development project.
2. Create the subjective conditions for the anti-imperialist revolution for national independence with a view to eliminating the Anti-national State established since 1806.
3. Strengthen the organization of the progressive vanguard through groups using new information and communication technologies Tics.
4. Make the popular masses aware of the need to take political power with a view to rebuilding a politically independent, economically prosperous, socially just and diplomatically non-aligned state within the framework of a minimum program for the construction of socialism in Hayti.

If our ancestors, during the anti-colonial and anti-slavery struggle, cried FREEDOM or DEATH, today it is our responsibility to update their cry in the name of “HOMELAND OR DEATH”
