Three people, including a couple of American missionaries, were killed in Haiti in a gang attack, the father of one of them and the organization to which they belonged announced Friday.

President Joe Biden supports the “rapid deployment” of an international mission to ensure security in Haiti where three people, including a couple of American missionaries, were killed, the White House said Friday.

“The security situation in Haiti cannot wait,” said a spokesperson for the White House National Security Council on Friday, adding: “our thoughts are with the families of those killed.”

Former President Donald Trump reacted after the assassination Thursday evening of American missionaries by armed gangs in Haiti. “God bless Davy and Natalie. What a tragedy. Haiti is completely out of control. Find the killers NOW!!! “, the former president wrote in a message on Truth Social, his social media platform.

The post included a screenshot of a message shared by the Newton County Republican Central Committee in Missouri, which expressed condolences over the deaths of the two Americans, identified as Davy and Natalie Lloyd. Natalie Lloyd is the daughter of Missouri State Representative Ben Baker.

“The forces of darkness seek to devour whomever they can. But whoever lives according to the truth comes to the light, that it may be clearly seen that what they did was done in the presence of God,” the committee’s message read. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven,” he continues.

In Haiti, the Presidential Transitional Council has not yet reacted. In less than a week, armed gangs went on the offensive, kidnapping and murdering individuals. But also, by embarking on the destruction of police infrastructure.
