Celebrate Haitian Heritage Month by attending various events across South Florida.

“I Am Little Haiti” Exhibition: This free exhibition, opening this weekend at Green Space Miami, aims to spark dialogue about “communities at risk of erasure” and to reframing the stories about Little Haiti.

It is organized by Carl-Philippe Juste, photographer at the Miami Herald, and Rebecca Friedman, professor at Florida International University. 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at 7200 Biscayne Blvd. The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in North Miami is hosting various events this month:

SATURDAYfrom 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the square, enjoy food tastings, a culinary competition and much more at Gourmet Kreyol.

Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., support local vendors and discover unique Ti Mache treasures on the square. (The market is also open May 18-19 and May 25-26).

In North Miami, several events are organized, including Haitian Konpa dance classes which begin this Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Katz Restaurant and Lounge.
