Today, imperialist domination and the survival of the capitalist system are achieved at the cost of the destruction of certain countries defending their sovereignty, their dignity by refusing to be the backyard of imperialism or to submit to the dictates, and to the systematic interference of the United States of America. This is the case of the Republic of Venezuela which, since the advent of the Bolivarian Revolution of socialist aspiration driven by its late charismatic leader Hugo Chavez Frias, has not ceased to be attacked by Western imperialism and its local lackeys of the bourgeoisie and finally to facilitate access to the plundering of oil wells for American companies.
This confrontation is the expression of a major contradiction existing between the objectives of a power at the service of the Venezuelan people and the political opposition in the pay of the local bourgeoisie and international capitalism whose main goal is to overthrow the government led by President Nicolas Maduro.
It is unfortunate to note that following the last presidential election, once again, the United States is launching a new offensive against Venezuela. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in a statement, said that: “Given the overwhelming evidence, it is clear to the United States and, most importantly, to the Venezuelan people, that Edmundo González Urrutia won the largest number of votes in Venezuela’s July 28 presidential election.“What a pretext for a country that claims to be the champion of democracy, but only admits it when it is in line with its neocolonial and capitalist interests!
This statement by Blinken actually hides unavowed and dangerous designs. Preceded by an orchestrated campaign conducted at full speed with the tacit complicity of certain countries of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the European Union (EU), it did not surprise anyone, in truth. Faithful to the practices of the imperialist powers that they embody, certain submissive countries of the OAS such as: Argentina, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, and Uruguay, favorable to the wishes of the Uncle and their Tutor, all chose to vote headlong under pressure from the United States for a cynical Resolution to carry out a complete verification of the results of the vote.
Fortunately, with a final count of 17 votes in favor, none against, the Resolution failed. Bravo to the sister countries of Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Grenada, Honduras, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Saint Lucia, who abstained on principle. Not to mention those who were absent so as not to be complicit in this farce: Dominica, Mexico, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago.
On the other hand, there is nothing surprising about the betrayal of Haiti through its Presidential Council, this rump Executive composed of parties and organizations showing more of their true face, notably Fanmi Lavalas, Pitit Desalin and the Montana group. They have clearly unmasked themselves. Moreover, their servility of allegiance to imperialism has discredited them to the point of losing all confidence of the population.
This is not the first time that Haitian gravedigger governments have sided with the United States to discredit the Venezuelan people and the government of Nicolas Maduro, to the point of calling it “illegitimate” in 2019. At that time, these new impostors harshly criticized Jovenel Moïse and fired red-hot shots at the PHTK. Today, it is these same scavengers who are part of an unnatural alliance to have a power with the blessing of the United States. That is why they have all aligned themselves with Washington’s position without the slightest sign of resistance. This action must be considered an attack by the Presidential Transitional Council against a progressive country and also against the Haitian and Venezuelan peoples, since Haiti is in some way the mother of Venezuela.
Therefore, the threatened Venezuelan sovereignty and independence would certainly not please Jean-Jacques Dessalines, Francisco de Miranda, Alexandre Pétion and Simon Bolivar. In these circumstances, the only crime of the Bolivarian Revolution was to defend the rights of the working masses and to improve their daily lot in the face of the devastating effects of the capitalist monster, American imperialism.
How far will this drift of the Presidential Council of corruption go, left and right wings combined, which does not act in the name of the Haitian people but that of the retrograde, reactionary oligarchy and their corrupt allies of the traditional political class?
Haiti, we know, is in ruins, but with leaders like that, it will not be able to go anywhere since they are not aware that the Venezuelan struggle is also theirs. And that the Bolivarian resistance should be an example for all peoples fighting for an ideal of dignity, of respect to finally impose their national identity and make the cause of the oppressed and exploited peoples triumph.
Contempt for the popular masses is the key word that best explains the criminal collusion of the members of the Presidential Council and the political parties they represent. The Haitian working masses can only count on their own strength to resolve the worsening situation. They must act quickly against this ruling class before it is too late, that is, remove this rotten elite and the imperialists so as to take power and control of the country themselves.
The colonial administration of Haiti did not dare to welcome and recognize the electoral victory and re-election of President Nicolas Maduro because it is banking on the destabilization of Venezuela by voting against him at the OAS. The Haitian people, for their part, have reaffirmed their firm, complete and unwavering solidarity with the Venezuelan leaders and the democratic advances, social and economic reforms carried out by the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution for the benefit of the poorest. Haiti and Venezuela have only one common struggle and one common enemy: imperialism!
Long live the Bolivarian revolution! Long live the Haitian socialist revolution to be born!
