Prime Minister Garry Conille left Port-au-Prince this Friday, June 28, 2024 for an official visit to Washington and New York, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office. Accompanied by several senior officials, including the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mrs. Marie DA Ketleen Florestal, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs, Mrs. Dominique Dupuy, the head of the Haitian government intends to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties with the United States.
The Haitian delegation, headed by Dr. Garry Conille, is planning crucial meetings with officials from international financial institutions. An inspection visit to the Haitian Embassy in Washington is also on the agenda.
During the absence of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Me Carlos Hercule, will ensure the interim, guaranteeing the continuity of the current affairs of the Haitian government.
