The curse of Harry Kane: undeniable talent, but no trophies to his name.

Harry Kane, the world-renowned English striker, is often celebrated for his undeniable talent and ability to score goals every season. Yet a sad paradox marks his career: six finals played, six finals lost, and still no trophy to his name. This persistent failure has led some to speak of a real curse.

Kane’s career has been marked by final defeats. With Tottenham Hotspur, he twice failed to reach the English League Cup final, in 2015 and 2021, before suffering another disappointment in the Champions League final in 2019. His move to Bayern Munich has hardly changed the situation, as the Bavarian club lost the German Super Cup final. In the national team, bad luck seems to follow him, with two consecutive defeats in the European Cup final, first in 2021 and then in 2024.

On July 28, Harry Kane will turn 31. At that age, many players of his caliber can boast an impressive list of achievements. But for Kane, the trophies are still a long way off. Despite his impressive statistics and his role as a pillar in his successive teams, final glory has consistently eluded him.

As the England striker continues to aim for the top, the question remains: can Harry Kane break this curse and finally lift a trophy? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: his talent continues to dazzle, trophy or not.
