Six (6) American congresswomen, including Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick and Frederica Wilson, presented a $50 billion investment plan for Haiti, called Toussaint Louverture, aimed at strengthening democratic and judicial institutions as well as stimulating growth economic.
These parliamentarians emphasize the importance of similar support to the Marshall Plan, as well as humanitarian aid and review of TPS, saying that Haiti, like Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan, deserves support as a sovereign nation .
Congresswomen emphasize the need for a democratic transition led by the Haitian government to guarantee the stability and security of the island’s residents, calling for an end to deportations to Haiti and support for the new Haitian government.
