“This is the time to act and provide services to the population,” said Jean-Pierre, taking the opportunity to thank all stakeholders for their support for the climate resilience project in the Northwest of Haiti.

This project, which benefits from funding of 31 million 200 thousand US dollars (Editor’s note: US $ 1.00=+140.00 gourdes; 1 euro=142.00 gourdes; 1 Canadian dollar=97.00 gourdes; 1 Dominican peso=2.40 gourdes today) over 8 years (2024-2032), constitutes a crucial initiative for the sustainable management of land and water in Haiti and a major step towards a sustainable future, underlines the Mde.

The result of collaboration between the Haitian government, the Green Climate Fund, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Heifer International Haiti, this project would aim to promote resilient agricultural practices and strengthen climate risk management, the Mde aims to do.
