The day before, Thursday May 16, a first group of criminals had already attempted a similar attack against the Court of Auditors. Institution officials reported the failed attempt, highlighting an alarming rise in insecurity around public institutions.

These events occur on the eve of the celebration of 221 years of the national bicolor, scheduled for tomorrow in the same area.
