The President of the Municipal Commission, Mrs. Yvrose Pierre, opened the festivities with a press conference during which she presented the main points of the program developed for this special occasion.
“This celebration is not only an opportunity to revisit our history, but also to reaffirm our commitment to the development and promotion of our cultural heritage and the Cap-Haïtien destination,” she said.
Indeed, the program of festivities, which will extend until August 19, includes a series of cultural and artistic activities aimed at celebrating the historical richness and cultural diversity of Cap-Haïtien. Among the key events are exhibitions, dance and music performances, parades, as well as the visit of a delegation from the city of Allada in Benin, which will join these major cultural events.
