Speaking on the Haitian crisis which is getting worse every day, the historian Michel Soukar has identified the responsibility of the United States in the deterioration of the situation. He presents Ariel Henry as the clown of this country who is plotting the crisis on the sly. Convinced of Ariel Henry’s incapacity and his allegiance to the Americans, Mr. Soukar invites the latter to stop the game.

The country has been in turmoil for days. Threats come from all sides. The popular demonstrations taking place in the streets are not entirely peaceful. Angry protesters often act and react violently. Besides that, the attitude of the police leaves something to be desired.

It is in this context that the historian Michel Soukar tries to assess the crisis. In his intervention on Metropole, Mr. Soukar invites the very unpopular Prime Minister to value himself by showing love for himself. Because, he thinks, Ariel Henry has no consideration for the Haitian people. However, he thinks that he could have it for himself and, based on this assumption, he calls on the tenant of the Prime Minister’s office to pack up.

According to Michel Soukar, Ariel Henry did not meet any conditions for 31 months. During his governance, he only increased insecurity, fueled disaster in the country and blocked any proposal to end the crisis that was presented to him. “Ariel Henry’s masters boycotted all proposals that did not fit with their project,” criticizes the historian.

In his speech Mr. Soukar underlined the American “hatred” towards Haiti for having dared to overthrow the world order in 1804. “On February 8, 1806, the American Congress had placed an embargo on the Government of Dessalines for his boldness,” declares the historian who challenges the American Government to show with all decency and sincerity, if only one reason, to keep Ariel Henry in power in Haiti.

Michel Soukar also denounces the hypocrisy of Americans who pretend to believe in a Haitian solution to the crisis. For them, criticizes Mr. Soukar, it is Ariel and Ariel alone even if he has to completely dismantle the country.” Ki kote moun ka al vote nan ensekirite total”, he asks, asking the Americans to provide at least proof where this happened. “He is not going to accept it in his country”, he criticizes the American charge d’affaires, inviting Americans to courageously admit that their desire is to see gangs swarming to all positions of power like This is the case at the Prime Minister, he regrets.

At the same time, he invites the people to understand that the Americans are content to tear up the Haitian flag since they find traitors among us who accept this dirty work. We must tell them that we will not accept falling into chaos because of the establishment of a small local Rochambeau at the head of the country. “We will not tolerate Haiti becoming a province of Santo Domingo, a corridor for cocaine trafficking, a bandit den,” he denounces.
