iciHaiti – Cap-Haïtien: Inauguration of a new OFATMA hospital center

On August 28, 2024, George Wilbert Franck, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, together with Carl François, the Director General of the Office of Work Accident, Sickness and Maternity Insurance (OFATMA) proceeded in Cap-Haïtien to the inauguration of a new OFATMA hospital center built at a cost of 200 million Gourdes.
This new center, located near the OFATMA trauma center, includes 19 rooms including two operating rooms all equipped with modern equipment, a maternity block, four consultation rooms, a laboratory and 20 rooms out of the 60 planned in the total project which will also include an auditorium and a residence for doctors.
This hospital center offers services including pediatrics, surgery, internal medicine, maternity, orthopedics, radiology and dialysis.
Patrick Almonor, the Deputy Mayor, welcomed this new Health Center at a time when the North is considered a tourist destination of choice.
