Agents of the Departmental Judicial Police Service (SDPJ) of Jacmel, in the South-East of Haiti, arrested Dannecy Lafalaise on Saturday, November 2, 2024, for killing her husband, Négaud Dominique. She committed the crime on the evening of Friday, November 1, in Morne Ogé.
THE HAITI FACTOR, November 2, 2024._An argument broke out on the evening of Friday November 1, 2024, between Négaud Dominique and his wife Dannecy Lafalaise. In response, the lady stabbed her husband in the neck.
The events took place in Morne Ogé, in the Commune of Jacmel.
Seriously injured, Négaud Dominique was rushed to Saint-Michel Hospital in Jacmel so that doctors could provide him with the treatment necessary for his injuries in an attempt to save his life.
A few minutes after being admitted to intensive care at the aforementioned hospital center, the young person succumbed to his injuries.
After carrying out the act, Dannecy Lafalaise, married for about a year and a half to Négaud Dominique, mother of a little girl, then fled to avoid her arrest by the Jacmel police.
On the other hand, on the afternoon of Saturday, November 2, 2024, after several hours of searching, agents of the Departmental Judicial Police Service (SDPJ) of Jacmel apprehended her.
The police arrested her in the locality called “Morne Clé”, in Jacmel, capital of the Sud’Est Department of Haiti, confirms the newspaper’s editorial staff with several police sources in the City.
In her first interrogation, she allegedly admitted to having stabbed her husband during an argument.
Behind bars, Dannecy Lafalaise has since been under the control of the Jacmel police authorities while awaiting legal action.
