Razorback high jumper Romaine Beckford has been recognized for his outstanding performance by being awarded the SEC Field Athlete of the Week honor.
In addition, John Kendricks was named Freshman of the Week, making it a double honor for the Razorbacks this week.
Beckford’s remarkable achievement came when he set an indoor personal best of 2.27 meters, securing victory in the high jump at the Razorback Invitational. Notably, he also made an ambitious attempt to meet the Olympic qualifying standard of 2.33 meters.
Currently, Beckford stands as the collegiate leader in high jump, and his mark ranks as the sixth-best performance in the world for the 2024 season.
