June 15, 1792: First Civil Commission.- In France, legislative decree granting full powers to the members of the first civil commission in Santo Domingo, the Commissioners: Roume, Mirbeck and Saint-Léger. They have an armed force of 14,000 men.

June 15, 1799: Start of the Southern War. – General Rigaud declares that he accepts the war that the General in Chief of Saint-Domingue, Toussaint-Louverture, wants to wage against him. June 15, 1802: Toussaint Louverture embarked on the “Héros”. – Arrested on June 7 in Ennery, following an act of treason by General Brunet, General Toussaint Louverture was taken first to Gonaïves where he was embarked on the frigate “Le Créole” heading for Cape Town. Once he arrived at his destination, he was transferred to the ship “Le Héros” which carried him, during a 25-day journey, to France where he died on April 7, 1803.

June 15, 2008: Haiti woke up in a state of shock after the announcement of the death of four musicians from the group RAP ” Barikad Crew », following a car accident that occurred at dawn on the Airport road in Port-au-Prince. Papa K-tafalk (Sénatus Jean Walker), Déjà Voo (Junior Badio) and Dade (Jhonny Emmanuel), two singers, Djo (Wilberson Magloire), the drummer of the group and Guichard, one of their friends, who served as driver, all passed through death. The very moving funerals of these musicians, who were all under 30 years old, were sung at the Champ de Mars, in a rather fraternal atmosphere, in the presence of personalities from the world of entertainment and various sectors of society.
