The Vodou sector has appointed Lamercie Charles Pierre as its representative on the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), a decision that marks a turning point in the community’s representation within this institution. The appointment was made official by a letter signed by several influential organizations, including the king of Vodou Augustin Saint Clou, as well as the lakou Souvenance and Soukri.

Initially, Master Newton St-Juste was the preferred candidate of a part of the voodoo sector. However, internal disagreements led to a revision of the choice, finally favoring Mrs. Lamercie Charles Pierre for this position. This change sparked debates within the community.

It is interesting to note that Master Newton St-Juste was said to have been a Seventh-day Adventist Christian before joining the voodoo sector. This journey, although significant, has raised questions among some members of the sector.
