Ligue 1: an absence and a return to PSG
-
PSG has just published its medical update, and two important changes should be noted.
While Luis Enrique will be at a press conference at 1 p.m., ahead of PSG’s match against Rennes, the club has published its usual medical update, with two new items.
Hit in the calf against FC Nantes last weekend, Marquinhos will not be part of the reception at Stade Rennais tomorrow at 5:05 p.m. Milan Skriniar and Presnel Kimpembe are continuing their rehabilitation exercises, and no return date is known for the two defenders.
Nuno Mendes is not one of them
The novelty is the absence of Nuno Mendes in this medical point. Injured with an ischio since the end of last season, the Portuguese full-back could make his comeback this weekend. He participated in the entire collective session this Wednesday, which could push Luis Enrique to reinstate him in the group.
A boon for PSG, who had to tinker during his absence. Lucas Hernandez played regularly in his place, then it was the turn of new recruit Lucas Beraldo to find himself on the left side, as against Real Sociedad (2-0 victory).
The absence of Marquinhos is detrimental. The capital club only has three players left to form the central defense: Lucas Hernandez, Danilo and Lucas Beraldo.
