The U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) is currently tracking two tropical waves, one near the Lesser Antilles and Caribbean Sea and the other in the eastern tropical Atlantic.
In his update As of 8 a.m., the NHC reports that for Disturbance 1 near the Lesser Antilles, showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave over the central tropical Atlantic remain disorganized.
Gradual development of this system is possible over the next few days, and a tropical depression could form sometime next week as it moves westward, reaching the Lesser Antilles on Monday and continuing across the Caribbean Sea through mid- to late-week.
Disturbance 1 has a low (near 0 percent) chance of forming within 48 hours and a medium chance (40 percent) of forming within 7 days.

Regarding the second disturbance in the eastern tropical Atlantic, the NHC indicates that a tropical wave between the west coast of Africa and the Cabo Verde Islands is producing minimal shower and thunderstorm activity.
Slow development of this system is possible through late next week as it moves slowly west-northwestward over the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.
Disturbance 2 has a low probability of formation (near 0 percent) over 48 hours and a low probability of formation (20 percent) over 7 days.
