Edgard Leblanc, flanked by Frantz Elbé, disgraced DG of the PNH, and Garry Conille, Prime Minister of the transition, explained the new measures put in place to fight against insecurity in Haiti.

“Today, as President of the Presidential Council of the Transition”, declared Leblanc in his presentation of “a renewed vision and reinforced strategies to eradicate gangs and restore security”, the day after the irruption of terrorists in a house in Delmas and the execution of four members of the same family.

However, it is important to remember that the current director general Frantz Elbé, under the Tèt Kale 3 administration, Ariel Henry-Emmelie Prophète, launched Operations Tornade I and II without success.

Occasional remarks

« Today’s ceremony has two deep meanings for me. First, it reflects the determination of new graduates to fight to the end against the gangs and guns that are rampant everywhere. This is also the mission that the Presidential Transitional Council has set itself: to eradicate insecurity in the country. The criminal gangs who think they can destroy the nation will not succeed. They don’t stand a chance. They will be neutralized. We take this opportunity to congratulate all police officers, men and women, who help the country in this fight against criminals.

Presidential Council Initiatives

« The Presidential Council, in collaboration with the Government, will provide all specialized units of the National Police with the material and psychological conditions necessary to fight gangs, dismantle them and allow every citizen to move freely in the country. This means that the State will take appropriate measures, both in its budget and in its cooperation with foreign countries which have decided to support Haiti in these difficult times, particularly since the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse in July 2021«.

This ceremony has two great meanings for me. First, it translates the willingness of these new graduates to fight to the end of gangs and guns wherever they are. This is the mission of the Transitional Presidential Council itself: rooting out insecurity in the country. Criminal association… pic.twitter.com/xu8UNxsz04
