The MSPP strengthens the requirements for Faculties of Medicine: a new step towards regionalization.
In an announcement published this Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the general management of the MSPP informed the public that the mapping for regionalization is now saturated. As a result, no new recognition will be granted to a Faculty of Medicine that does not have its own hospital. This measure according to the MSPP aims to improve the quality of medical training in Haiti by ensuring that the new faculties offer an adequate practical environment to their students.
The General Directorate of the MSPP also stressed the importance of this new provision to strengthen hospital capacities across the country. By consolidating existing efforts and requiring dedicated hospital infrastructure, the Ministry hopes to improve the health services offered to the population.
The MSPP calls for understanding and cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure full compliance with this new system.
The General Directorate of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) also welcomed the existing collaboration between the Ministry and the Academic Institutions of Health Sciences within the framework of the implementation of its regionalization policy.
