The National Identification Office (ONI) has formally denied rumors that its agents receive money for the delivery of National Identification Cards (CIN). ONI employees do not have the right to demand money from customers for the delivery of CINs, the institution specifies in a press release dated June 17.
The ONI, which firmly refutes these accusations, urges the population to exercise caution in the face of these networks of racketeers who usurp the identity of the institution’s agents to extort money from those seeking services.
