The organization “Nou Konsyan” has called for immediate action regarding the corruption scandal at the National Credit Bank (BNC). In a statement dated July 29, 2024, it called for the removal of the presidential advisers involved and the resignation of Raoul Pascal Pierre-Louis, chairman of the BNC board of directors. Advisors Louis Gérald Gilles, Emmanuel Vertillaire and Smith Augustin are accused of having solicited 100 million gourdes from the chairman of the board in exchange for his continued employment.
Outraged by these accusations, “Nou Konsyan” stressed the need to fight corruption in all its forms. The organization demands not only the exclusion of the three presidential advisers, but also the immediate resignation of Raoul Pascal Pierre-Louis. It calls on the competent authorities to act quickly to restore transparency and trust in the country’s financial institutions.
