Paris 2024: we know the 12 teams qualified for the women’s Olympic tournament

Germany and Serbia are among 12 teams qualified for next summer’s Paris Olympics.

We know the last two qualified for the women’s basketball tournament next summer in Paris. The Germans and Serbians obtained the last two tickets for the 2024 Olympic Games following the final matches of the qualifying tournament in Belem, Brazil, on Sunday. The German team won against Brazil (73-71) and qualified for the Games for the first time in its history. At the same time, she eliminated the Brazilians, silver medalists in 1996 and bronze four years later in Sydney.

For its part, Serbia lost to Australia (73-75), already qualified for the Olympics, but took third place in group A, qualifying for Paris. The bronze medalists in 2016 in Rio therefore join the 12 other qualified teams, including France, as host country, the United States, world champions, Belgium, Japan and Nigeria.
