In a recent note, the Mexican Embassy in Haiti announced that as of Monday, May 13, 2024, its consular section will partially resume its visa services for users awaiting an appointment for a consular interview for obtaining a resident visa.
By way of clarification, the Mexican diplomatic representation highlighted that due to the large number of requests for appointments for visas with a Número Unico de Trámite (NUT) with migration authorization, short-stay visas (visitors and tourists ) are suspended.
“Users who have authorizations dating back more than 5 months must contact the consular section by sending a copy of their authorization letter with NUT to the email: [emailprotected] », We can read in the document mentioning that once received, the consular section will provide by the same means an extraordinary appointment for the processing of the visa according to availability.
Partially open on May 2 and 3, 2024, in order to issue passports to users who have previously completed a visa process, the Mexican embassy has however not yet announced the date of its final reopening.
