New form of investment for the diaspora Invited to speak via Zoom at the closing of the reunion week organized at the CIDHICA premises by ICC in Montreal, the president of the Association des Entrepreneurs de l’Artibonite (AEA), Mr. Pierre Robert Auguste, developed the concept of memorial investment. According to him, this approach combines the search for profit, sustainable social utility and positive impact on the memories of generations. It boils down to an economically useful investment in the creation and distribution of wealth from a perspective of endogenous modernization and conscious ecological responsibility, he specified.

This mode of investment requires great social intelligence and sensitivity, groupings based on territorial affinities and collective investment funds to which must be added supply capacities and a shared duty of trust and credibility.

The president of the AEA believes that an honest partnership between Artibonite and Quebec is possible in the areas of creating an industrial-port zone and industrial infrastructure. He mentions the provisions of a group of local entrepreneurs to open, with Canadian partners, a direct maritime line between Montreal and Gonaïves and Saint-Marc.

This closing session was marked by a remarkable presentation by Eng. Jean Robert Jean Noël on political governance in a vision of 2054, according to which Haiti would be classified among the emerging countries. Lively debates were animated on investment guarantees and on project proposals led in particular by Dr. Grenson Jeune.

The director of CIDHICA, Mr. Frantz Voltaire, took the opportunity to call for the strengthening of Caribbean community ties as a tool to combat the racism of which they could be victims.

The ICC, chaired by engineers Raynal Orival and Jean Robert Jean Noël, organized this week of meetings in Montreal with the aim of bringing Haitian communities together, identifying and combining their resources in the general interest of Haitians.
