DUTY OF SINCERITY

The Presidential Council, called the 7-headed snake by delicious popular malice, announces the holding of elections for the choice of its Coordinator, a primus inter pares, while the seven voters, added to the 2 observers, form a peerage of which each has and must enjoy the same rights and privileges. So, there are 7 and 9 presidents. Where does this crazy idea of a “presidential” coordinator come from? How to fit this name into the administrative nomenclature of the State?
The coordinator of the presidential council could never be the head of state. For having referred to the constitution, for having sworn to defend it, are they aware that any contrary act is high treason?
It is true that the presidential council is a morganatic and heretical liaison. But it does not authorize either infidelity or prostitution. Already, discredit is falling in an avalanche under the pressures rightly denounced by public opinion at the expense of corrupt and corrupt oligarchs, inveterate predators, certified gravediggers of democracy, prolific progenitors of inequalities and poor development. The plutocracy is being driven out by the people into the streets. It returns to the presidential council to sponsor capital holders without embarrassment. Any make-up of a public vote will only be the backdrop to an overrated arrangement. As devils incarnate to disintegrate, the conspiracy theorists do not see that they offer political and social legitimacy to armed gangs and a guerrilla stature which will open the negotiation table to them if they are unable to impose their law. Those who have nothing magnanimous always betray their social origin for the flash of shameless glory which is never an honor. What good would it do for a man to lose his soul, his prestige even if he has the greatest fortune?
Certainly the miseries are difficult, the deprivations unbearable. We need a social protection system to eradicate barter, the sale of character in politics.
And the conspiracy theorists and those who wanted to be named presidents even without power or authority do not yet recognize themselves as being trapped by the Americans who do not feel satisfied either. The fact that they had not aligned Haiti in the distribution of billions aid from which Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan benefit speaks volumes. They know very well that the weapons of the multinational mission will be able to make the gangs listen to reason and retreat. But what will really guarantee stability and peace is strong, equitable, participatory economic recovery. The reconstruction and modernization of Port-au-Prince, the national road network, the development of development centers in the departments, and facilitated direct investment from the Haitian diaspora are the main factors of real stabilization. They must stop lying to international opinion and be sincere to themselves. Entangled in the dogmatism of insigificance against the Haitian people, they do not perceive the human dimension of the suffering, deprivation and despair of the men, women and children in their neighborhood. Now that their university publications are beginning to associate the name of Haiti with their protests in favor of the martyred people of Palestine, will they finally understand that the universality of humanity draws feelings of solidarity, compassion, revolt in the face of tragedies? inhuman.
Haiti, April 29, 2024, is still there, between the expectation of democracy by the people and the plutocratic domination of the presidential council by the oligarchs. Between the arrival of Washington’s trusted man to exercise real power and the incapacity to govern of those who wear the presidential castoff. Mounted on the throne, they head towards the pits, under the watchful eyes of a people who will no longer accept being mistreated.
