Prime Minister Garry Conille promises to take control of the national territory during his visit to the base of the Multinational Mission in Clercine.
This Wednesday, June 26, 2024, Prime Minister Garry Conille visited the base of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS) in Clercine. Accompanied by the Minister of Justice, Me Carlos Hercule, the Acting Director General of the PNH, Rameau Normil, in the presence of Kenyan police officers, Doctor Garry Conille announced that the government will regain control of the territory. “Kay pa kay, katye pa katye, vil pa vil” he clarified.
Inviting the population to exercise caution, because, according to him, we are on the eve of a new beginning, the head of government thanks once again Kenya which has provided its full support to Haiti at this difficult time, where gangs continue to terrorize the civilian population.
Still in his declarations, Prime Minister Garry Conille announces that the Haitian National Police will have to work in concert with the mission to track down gangs and facilitate the resumption of activities in the country, more precisely in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince.
It should be noted that during a press conference on Tuesday June 25, 2024, Doctor Garry Conille told the gangs that they must lay down their weapons; then, recognize the authority of the Haitian State before any other provision. According to him, the population can no longer tolerate the actions of these individuals who have increased attacks on institutions and property, making areas of the country unlivable and plunging families into difficult situations.
