The Government has regained control of the State University Hospital of Haiti. This Tuesday, July 9, 2024, Prime Minister Garry Conille, accompanied by Presidential Advisor Louis Gérald Gilles, Minister of Public Health Georges Brignol Jr., and Director General of the National Police Rameau Normil, among others, visited the general hospital.
Outraged by the acts of vandalism committed by gangs against the largest hospital in the country, Garry Conille firmly condemned these destructive actions and reaffirmed the State’s determination to re-establish its authority over the entire national territory.
It should be noted that the visit of the occupant of the Prime Minister’s office to the HUEH comes 24 hours after the Commander-in-Chief of the PNH announced that the police had regained control of the hospital space. “The fun is over!” Rameau Normil announced to the armed gangs.
