Announced this Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the leaders of Chelsea FC part ways with Mauricio Pochettino on a mutual agreement after only one season where the results were mixed.

Arriving in London in 2023 to take control of the London bench and under contract until 2025, the 52-year-old Argentinian technician failed to meet the expectations of the management of the Chelsea Blues. Despite the resources offered by the Argentinian and his staff, Mauricio Pochettino was never able to take the London club to the top of the Premier League. He made one FA Cup semi-final and one League Cup final.

Finished sixth in the standings in the English championship, after this season without trophies. He is content with qualifying for the Europa League Conference (C4) narrowly for the season (2024/2025). The former PSG coach will not complete his contract with Chelsea.

The Argentinian leaves the ship of the Stamford Bridge residents with a record of 26 wins, 11 draws and 14 defeats in 51 matches.
