Having narrowly escaped against Slovenia, Portugal will face the French team on Friday in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024.

This Monday, Portugal and Slovenia could only be separated by penalties after 120 minutes of drought in a match almost as soporific as the one between the Blues and the Red Devils.
Finally, it was Portugal who won (3 tab to 0) in an unbearable suspense. Cristiano Ronaldo could have sealed the fate of the match earlier on penalty, but Jan Oblak, pulled off a monstrous save to prolong the match. CR7 also apologized when he converted the try during the final session.
Facing a weak Belgian opponent, the French once again raise the bar a notch as they advance in the tournament, even if the Portuguese are far from having convinced.
