The Council finally chose its coordinator. It was the former senator, Edgard Leblanc Fils, who was nominated by his peers.

No more palaver around the hierarchy in the Presidential Transitional Council. As announced, one of their number takes the reins, for the benefit of a consensus. It is the representative of the January 30 agreement, former senator Edgard Leblanc Fils, who is the lucky one. The latter was appointed following an agreement with several of his colleagues. An agreement which canceled the ballots announced for April 30, 2024. The icing on the cake, advisor Frinel Joseph, who made the announcement, also informed that citizen Fritz Bélizaire was also designated as Prime Minister.

Let us note in passing that the former senator spent a long time in the Haitian political sector. On several occasions, he had been stopped at the last minute from running for the post of President. One of the occasions that remains in the memory of the population is his failure against Jocelerme Privert during the elections organized by Parliament to ensure the post-Martelly transition in 2016.
