CARICOM finally has all the names of the personalities to constitute the Presidential Council. In this sense, she is preparing to notify the resigning Prime Minister of the names retained for the purposes of appointment and installation, reports a media source.
CARICOM continues to persist in its controversial approach which is to favor the installation and inauguration of a new transition in Haiti led by a Presidential College of 9 members. These personalities were chosen on the basis of an inclusive methodology, according to this structure. Several days after the meeting held with certain protagonists involved in the crisis, the structures designated by CARICOM, excluding the Catholic Church, sent their representative to the authorities of the regional body.
CARICOM is preparing to enter a new phase in the process, which is that of installing the new team. If this responsibility does not fall to it, it intends to engage the person concerned. It is in this sense that the leaders of this structure are preparing to forward the names to the resigning Head of Government, Ariel Henry, who is conspicuous by his absence from the country for almost a month. They want to send him the list so he can take steps to name and install them.
Remember that CARICOM took leadership of this process after having pitifully failed on several occasions in its approach to facilitating dialogue between Haitian actors.
