Press release: ONASH relaunches the national essay competition on sport

The Haitian National Sports Observatory (ONASH), in partnership with UNESCO and the OPC, announces the official relaunch of the national essay competition on sport. Aimed at new secondary school students (NS1 to NS4), this competition aims to encourage reflection on the role of sport in promoting peace and socio-economic development in Haiti.

Under the theme ” How can sport contribute to the establishment of peace and socio-economic development in Haiti? “, Participants are invited to submit their texts before May 10, 2024. Submissions can be sent as a PDF or Word file to the email address [emailprotected] or via WhatsApp at number 48692669.

The writing instructions are clear and precise: essays must be structured with an introduction, development and conclusion. Originality of reflection is strongly encouraged while ensuring that the sources used are correctly cited. The texts can be written in French or Creole and must respect a specific format, with a length of between 2 and 5 pages.

Each participant is also required to provide a cover sheet containing their personal information, as well as a letter of recommendation from the school or student identification card.

Winners will have the opportunity to benefit from many attractive prizes, including scholarships offered by the Republic of Taiwan, electronic gadgets, sports kits and many other rewards. The first five Dolphins will also be awarded consolation bonuses.

The shortlisted will be invited to an oral interview to determine the national winners.
