The holders of the Prix des 5 continents de la Francophonie are calling on publishers who have published a narrative fiction text between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024. The latter must submit the text before July 31, 2024, the deadline, at attention of the jury responsible for the deliberation.

Publishers who published an original work between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024 are strongly encouraged to submit their authors’ nominations before the deadline of July 31, 2024. The benefits of participating in this award include a unique opportunity to promote authors on an international scale and recognition for the contribution to the promotion of La Francophonie. The works will be evaluated by a jury made up of renowned personalities from the literary world.

The Prize of the 5 Continents of La Francophonie was created in 2001 by the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF). Each year, a jury selects an original narrative fiction text (novel, story and collection of short stories). Its mission is to highlight literary talents reflecting the expression of cultural and editorial diversity in the French language on five continents.

This year, it is the Quebec writer of Egyptian origin, Eric Chacour who won, last Tuesday March 26, the Prize of the 5 continents of the Francophonie 2024 with his novel “Ce que je sais de toi” published by the editions Alto (Canada-Quebec) and Philippe Rey (France). As for the special mention from the jury, it was awarded to the Moroccan Khalid Lyamlahy for his novel “Evocation of a memorial in Venice” published by Présence Africaine (France, 2023).
